Oath bound to aid the sick and the wounded, the physician's guild deal with the broken, the injured, and the dying. Viewing diseases as the true enemy, the Physician's Guild attempts to rise above petty politics and international borders. To their eyes all life is sacred and the quality of life is of paramount importance. Anything that destroys life, corrupts the soul, or poisons the mind is viewed as anathema.

Expectations:

1: See no evil. A physician does not see age, nature, race or nationality; instead he only sees a creature in need. Render treatment to all equally regardless of their origins.
2: Hear no evil. Words spoken between you and your patient are held in the utmost confidence. Never betray this trust and be willing to take these secrets to the grave.
3: Do no evil. By action or inaction a physician will harm none. Anyone seeking medical help will not be turned away, nor will their care be abandoned.

Description: You have developed some specialized ingredients you can use to substitute for other required ingredients. Note this will only substitute for a material ingredient. It will not allow you to use a base or combination you are unfamiliar with.

 

Level 3 - Journeyman

Practical Use: Alkaline Solution

Description: Allows production of pharmaceutical doses using an alkaline base

Special Use: Anti-venom

Description: With a sample of venom, a venom sac, etc. and 5 minues time, you can create an anti-venom for that particular poison. Anti-venoms are specific to their sources, and require the original venom to produce, but can be stored for future use.

Special Use: Anti-virus

Description: With a sample of diseased blood and 5 minutes time, you are able to create an anti-virus for that particular disease. Anti-viruses are specific to their sources, and require an original sample of the disease to produce, but can be stored for future use.

 

Level 5 - Grand Master

Description: Allows production of pharmaceutical doses using 4+ ingredients and/or multiple basic combinations and a base

Description: You are capable of developing new pharmaceutical recipes through the use of research, time and experimentation, and may also reverse engineer an existing dose you have acquired given time. The amount of time needed will vary depending upon the recipe/dose.

Level 1 - Novice

Description: With a few choice words you are able to get to the root of someone's feelings. Tagline: Reveal Emotion. For the next 10 minutes the target cannot hide their emotions.

Special Use: Psychic Barrier

Description: Creates a mental shield that protects the target against the first Mental Effect that is used against them. Tagline: Mental Resist

 

Level 2 - Apprentice

Practical Use: Subliminal Messaging

Description: Using a phrase of 10 words or less, you may subtly command a subject to do your bidding. Tagline: Command. This will not counteract a person’s native survival instincts making them walk into odds they are utterly uncertain to win.

Level 3 - Journeyman

Practical Use: Instill Emotion

Description: After a minute of intense counseling you are able to instill a specific emotion in your target, this will counteract the opposite negative emotions and lasts 10 minutes. This will not counteract a person’s native survival instincts making them walk into odds they are utterly uncertain to win.

Special Use: Calm Emotion

Description: After one minute of intense counseling you are able to calm a specific emotion in your target. This may also be used passively to instill a sense of peace and tranquility in your subject that lasts 10 minutes.

 

Level 4 - Master

Practical Use: Hypnosis

Description: With 10 minutes of uninterrupted, intense work, you can program a triggered response, emotion, or action in your target to a specific stimulus. This lasts until they are deprogrammed or the programmed objective is achieved. This will not counteract a person’s native survival instincts making them walk into odds they are utterly uncertain to win. This can be used to alter or remove a compulsion, though points must still be spent to buy off a compulsion that granted character points.

Description: With 5 minutes of conversation you are capable of giving a patient Mental Immunity for one hour. This also grants them respite from phobias and compulsions for the duration, and removes effects such as confusion.

Description: With 5 minutes of intense, uninterrupted work, you are able to drive a person towards a single, desperate action, making them willing to face horrible odds and death without hesitation. This can override the effect of a Rhukichiin curse.

Surgeon

Level 1 - Novice


Practical Use: Basic Diagnosis

Description: You are capable of identifying the condition of a patient. (Critical, dead, subdued, poisoned, etc.) Diagnosis takes as long as it takes to ask each question of the patient.

Special Use: Basic Surgery

Description: With the proper tools and one minute of work you are able to heal an injured or critical person and bring them back to full use in one hour.

 

Level 2 - Apprentice

Practical Use: Autopsy

Description: After 10 minutes of intense work you gain insight into a person's manner of death. You can determine the cause, time of death and other such information.

Special Use: Intermediate Surgery

Description: Your stitching has improved such that now, with one minute of work, your patients will be fully capable in a simple half an hour.

 

Level 3 - Journeyman

Practical Use: Surgical Specialist

Description: You are able to reattach lost limbs as long as they are from the original owner and stitch together a cleaved torso. You are also capable of bringing a patient out of a coma. Works of this complexity can take a while depending on the severity of the loss.

Special Use: Advanced Surgery

Description: Your surgical skill allows you with a minute's work to heal someone so they are fully capable in 15 minutes.

 

Level 4 - Master

Practical Use: Undertaker

Description: With a minute of work you can partially prepare a body to where it is not only properly prepared for funerary ceremonies but you also may keep a soul in the body for an hour longer.

Special Use: Resuscitation

Description: With the use of appropriate equipment you are now able to bring the dead back to life as long as their soul remains in their body. Requires Lightning in a Jar. Once brought back to life a character is unable to move on their own or take any action for an hour. This time cannot be mitigated in any way.

 

Level 5 - Grand Master

Practical Use: CPR

Limitation: TDL
Description: You are able to bring the dead back to life as long as the spirit remains in the body, without using any additional equipment. A person brought back in this method is unable to move on their own or take actions for a half hour, as their body has less trauma to recover from. This time cannot be mitigated in any way.

Special Use: Deathspeak

Description: You may speak to a corpse, determining what it has seen and or experienced since it's death. This is speaking to the corpse itself, not the spirit (which would involve Medium). The corpse will only be aware of what happened to it after it died.
