Blade Dancer

Note: You must have a long scarf (Talith) visible on your person to use any Talith-related skills. The scarf should NEVER actually be swung or used in a combat situation. The ability descriptions are simply in-play "what you see" descriptions of the tag lines.
Preferred Material: Rose Quartz & Hardened Silver (hot pink and/or bright silver duct tape)


The blade dancers have a reputation for being quick and lethal, but also mesmerizing in the sheer beauty of their attacks and defenses. Certainly, their school is as much an art as it is a science, as much dance as it is combat, so it is not difficult to tell how they got their name. Most opponents will tell you not to watch their blades, for part of their attack is in the surprise of their enemies not knowing when or where the strike will fall. They are very good at not giving away their target areas, and tend to stay in constant motion.


No one, save the school's members, knows much about their history. Traditionally, it is a gypsy school, taught by the Rhukichiin as a method of survival. As such, they are quite secretive towards outsiders and non-familia. (More information will become available after initiation.)


Level 1 - Initiate

Razor Scarf (attack, contact, strike) - adds damage to a normal strike (adds to base damage of weapon)
Tagline: "Vital Strike X". (see the Vital Strike description for progression at higher levels).

Intercepting Blade (defense, non-contact, parry) - Prevents one attack that lands on the user.
Tagline: "Parry"


Level 2 - Apprentice

Dizzying Blades (attack, point and click, mind effect) - mesmerize designated target while blades are in steady motion. Lasts until the user stops spinning their blades, takes another action, or the target is struck.
Tagline: "Natural Mesmerize"

Talith Wrap (defense, contact, strike) - cause opponent to Fumble designated target item in hand for 3 seconds.
Tagline: "Fumble x-item"


Level 3 - Devotee

Talith Trip (attack, contact, strike) - causes target to take a knee for 10 seconds before getting up on a 3 count.
Tagline: "Falldown"

Dancer's Grace (defense, non-contact, self) - allows you to dodge one incoming attack of any kind
Tagline: "Dodge"


Level 4 - Master

Blinding Reflections (attack, non-contact, Area of Effect) - by spinning your blades and talith above your head, you reflect light into your opponent's eyes, Blinding everyone near you.
Tagline: "Area of Effect, 5 foot, Blind"

Veil of the Clouds (defense, self) - with the use of rapid movements of blades and talith, you make it impossible to affect you from all attacks save melee for one minute. (Immune to all magic, alchemical, and missile attacks)
Tagline:  “Immune”


Level 5 - Grand Master

Piercing Attack (attack, contact, strike) - by deftly twisting your blade while striking, you cut through the bindings holding your opponent's armor together. This attack instantly lowers any physical armor to 0 points, as well as breaching the armor 1 time.
Tagline: "Breach Armor"

Blade Turn (defense, self) - with a clever angling of the blade and a flick of the talith, you redirect your opponent's attack back on themselves. They take the full effect of their own attack.
Tagline: "Mirrored Counterstrike"
